Charity Partner : Action Against Hunger
Two months ago today, a massive earthquake devastated Haiti, killing over 200,000 people and leaving millions without access to food and clean water.
Action Against Hunger’s teams have been working tirelessly since the quake, providing access to safe drinking water, building latrines and ramping up emergency sanitation and hygiene programs to prevent outbreaks of disease.
In Port-au-Prince alone, our teams have provided more than 100,000 people with emergency services in clean water, nutrition, sanitation, and hygiene. Existing programs have also been expanded in Port de Paix and Gonaives, cities that experienced an influx of hundreds of thousands of earthquake survivors fleeing the capital.
Action Against Hunger’s immediate response in Haiti was possible thanks in large part to the ongoing support of people like PRISMgives.
In the weeks since the earthquake struck, AAH has been truly amazed by the generosity of their supporters, people who saw the terrible images on television and were inspired to help.
This year, PRISMgives will again support Action Against Hunger as our partner charity, specifically to support their work in Haiti.
