Tayler Robertson will join the PRISMgives Ride Across America in the role of rider support.

She will drive a PRISMgives Pace Car and will help the other riders with refreshments, supplies and luggage.

Tayler Robertson is the oldest daughter of Scott Robertson. She is currently attending Los Positas college in Livermore, and will be joining the United States Navy June 15, 2009. She is a swim coach at Club Sport Pleasanton.  She also plays for two soccer teams and plays softball with her father and Dennis Barnedt on Thursday nights.

Scott Robertson works Access Information Management part time and is focused on strategic sales and technology initiatives like the new CRM solution with Great Plains financial info and rolling out digital services solutions.  He has over 25 years of experience in executive technology sales and channel marketing roles.  He is a car guy with a passion for racing and things that go fast.  He’s been married 25 years and has three beautiful daughters ages 11-18.

Scott got his motorcycle license to go on this ride because the adventure sounds great and the cause worthwhile.  His claim to fame is that Animal House was filmed at his Fraternity while he was at the University of Oregon in 1979.

Scott will be riding a 2002 BMW R 1150RT ex CHP bike in all black with about 60,000 miles and scratches on both mirrors from when Rob dumped it.  A refined sportsman compared to the rough neck Harleys.  He may not be allowed in some bars in East Texas but he’ll try to wear a Harley jacket to fit in.  The 1130 CC engine is a two cylinder boxer,  4 valves per cylinder with 95 Hp and 73 lbs Torque.  Weighing in at 615 lbs vs the portly Harleys, this bike has a top speed of 124mph and 7.6 gallons of gas for long rides between gas stations.

Kevin first rode a motorcycle in 1982, he had to, he started a Courier Company with motorcycles in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, which is still going after 27 years, the longest established independent Courier Company in North East of England.

He only rode professionally for a couple of years then moved on to more executive roles. Other than a ride in South Africa last year,  the last time he rode was on holiday in Crete, Greek Islands 21 years ago.

Kevin got on with the Harley great. He rode from Cape Town to Cape Point and back, stopping in different towns all in one day. Seven days “on the trot” (one after the other) as they say in the UK may be a little tougher. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity and for charity so Kevin decided he’d just have to do it.

Janice Thomas is the former I.T. manager of O’Neil Printers and Wife of Ian Thomas, from O’Neil Software .  She had wanted to ride motorcycles since she was very young and in 2007 convinced her husband to take a riding course with her.  Her first motorcycle was a Honda 600cc but quickly she discovered she wanted more power.  She upgraded to her current bike, a 2004 Harley-Davidson 1200XL Custom Sportster, and joined the Orange Coast Harley Owners Group (HOG), where she frequently takes part in group rides.

The “Sporty” has not only become her favorite motorcycle (she also owns a Vespa-style scooter) but became her pet project with a lot of extra, custom work. In 2008, her bike won the Orange County stock Sportster of the year award and she proudly announced that “chrome is the new gold“. With very few places to add chrome to the bike she has Ian very worried about what she will do next but one thing is for sure… it will be on her Harley.

In the ongoing saga of Rob’s wheels of choice, seems like he has finally settled on one that won’t fall down.  here it is.

Ian Thomas is Vice President of Business Development for O’Neil Software.  Responsible for all global business Ian spends far too much time on airplanes (650,000 air miles in the last 5 years) and needed a hobby that would ensure vacations never went near an airport.  He’s tried everything from RV’ing to boating but nothing really struck a chord.

In 2007, he asked his wife, Janice, what she wanted for their 7th wedding anniversary and the response was motorcycle lessons.  A bit of a surprise, and not something he particularly wanted to do, but it sure was an interesting anniversary gift.

That July they took their course and became the proud owners of their motorcycle license.  Since then they have both become avid riders with Ian completing a 3,600 mile round-trip to Sturgis, South Dakota in the summer of 2008.

For those who want to know about the bikes, Ian rides a 2008 Harley-Davidson Street glide.  Currently the most popular motorcycle that Harley-Davidson sells, it is a common site at any motorcycle rally.  With a 6 gallon tank, it has a cruising distance of over 250 miles, so there is no excuse not to spend some time in the saddle.

A wild and crazy guy

Dennis E. Barnedt III is the Founder and CEO of Access Information Management and has been riding for over 25 years.

Dennis currently rides a 2005 HD Road King Classic with 20k miles on it.

Dennis has never ridden cross country but has been involved with various local rides and is trying to “slow down” in his 40’s by riding a “cruiser”.

In his capacity as the 2009 President for PRISM International, Dennis wanted to kick off annual charity fund raisers that the current members could participate in while giving back.

The first annual event was chosen by Dennis due to his passion for riding and PRISMgives.com was born.
